Sponsorship Details

Mission Creek Productions is seeking cash sponsorships. Intersection for the Arts, a local non-profit organization that has fostered the Bay Area experimental music, theatre, and visual arts community for 40 years, has fiscally partnered with Mission Creek Productions to support the 12th annual Mission Creek Music and Arts Festival (MCMAF), July 17th-20th, 2008.

Your sponsorship will be tax-deductible and will supplement the enormous cost of producing the festival, supporting the artists and promoting the weeklong event. Our sponsorships are flexible and we are eager to work within your organization's budget.

All contributions include a discounted rate for an advertisement in the San Francisco Bay Guardian, which will be placed in an insert dedicated to the Mission Creek Music and Arts Festival. This guide includes the week's event listings and will be seen by at least 100,000 readers of the publication. Festival attendees will repeatedly refer to our insert, sharing your logo with those they encounter.

Now in its eleventh year, the festival has grown tremendously in size and attendance, from a one-day event with eight bands and an audience of 100 to a weeklong event with over 180 acts and an audience of 3,000. This year's festival will culminate in an eclectic parade through the heart of the mission district. Many of the musicians involved live in the neighborhood and are nationally-respected Balkan, Brass, Jazz and Blues musicians. They are marching to honor the sense of community that has gradually solidified in the Mission's diverse music scene.

Our events are affordable; ticket prices range from free to $15. Most tickets are $10. Our audience ranges from high school students to post-graduates, from professional artists to artistic professionals. A variety of ethnic backgrounds are represented. Although the audience is mostly composed of twenty and thirty somethings, musicians and audience members have expanded our demographic by 10 years on either side.

MCMAF will also host a sustainability-themed outdoor event, sponsored by many of the city's greenest businesses. This will be a prime opportunity to highlight your organization's commitment to green practices and to reach an eco-minded audience.

2008 Sponsorship Packages

$2,000-$5,000 Co-Presenter Sponsorship Package

(This sponsorship level is designed for large businesses and individual donors)

$500-$999 Small Business Sponsorship Package

$250-$499 Sponsorship Package (This sponsorship level is designed for individuals and very small businesses)

Trade Sponsorship Packages

If you are a print publication or magazine, we ask that you run a full page ad for the festival and place a text or graphic link on your corresponding website. If you are solely an online entity, we ask that you publicize the festival to your mailing list and place a text or graphic logo advertising the festival that links to the MCMAF website. If you are a non-profit organization we ask that you publicize the festival to your mailing list. Above scenarios will trade for:

  • Company logo link on the Mission Creek Festival website

Donated food items and alcoholic beverages fall under trade sponsorships. We also accept music equipment from businesses that can provide backline for a show. Additional promotional options are negotiable for trade sponsorships of this nature.
